Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has claimed that the ongoing dispute between the suspended governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is rooted in issues of money sharing.
Amaechi made this assertion during an interview with DW on Saturday.
He also criticized President Bola Tinubu’s emergency intervention in the state’s governance, describing it as unconstitutional.
Speaking further, Amaechi questioned the silence of Nigerians on the matter, stating, “The fight between the current governor of Rivers State and the FCT minister is about sharing money. If not, what is the issue? Nigerians no longer seem to oppose corruption. I have not seen anyone on the streets demanding answers. Can both of them address the public and clarify what the real problem is?”
