Kachalla Isuhu Yellow, one of the most dreaded bandit leaders in Northwestern Nigeria, was shot and killed inside a market in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State by gunmen allied with his rival, Dogo Gide.
Prior to his assassination, Isuhu Yellow had barely survived a confrontation with security forces in Keita village, where nine of his men were killed.
He was wounded in the battle but managed to flee. However, his enemies soon caught up with him.
He had taken refuge in a fabric shop at Dan Jibga Market when bandits from Dogo Gide’s camp launched a surprise attack, ensuring he had no escape route.
His death was linked to an internal conflict among criminal factions.
Just two days earlier, Isuhu Yellow had killed Kachalla Bakin Sifindi, a move that provoked Gide and set off a violent retaliation.
Already weakened from his injuries, Isuhu Yellow was unable to defend himself when Gide’s men struck.
