Tinubu signs development commission Bills for South-West, South-South

President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of the South-West and South-South Development Commissions by signing their respective bills into law, alongside the Nigeria Anti-Doping Bill, 2025.

Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, confirmed the development in a statement, emphasizing Tinubu’s dedication to inclusive governance and national progress.

According to Lado, the commissions will drive economic growth, create jobs, and enhance infrastructure, ensuring regional development aligns with the administration’s broader vision.

He noted that Tinubu’s actions demonstrate his commitment to fostering progress across all regions of Nigeria.

The commissions are expected to act as engines for industrial expansion and social transformation, building on the government’s previous approval of similar development agencies.
