Nottingham Forest plot surprise move to beat Man United for Osimhen

Must read

Nottingham Forest is reportedly preparing a bold move to outmanoeuvre Manchester United in the race to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen during the upcoming summer transfer window.

While Manchester United has identified Osimhen as a key target to bolster their attack, they now face strong competition from their Premier League rivals.

According to TEAMtalk, Forest is considering an ambitious bid for the Nigerian forward as part of their efforts to secure a top-class striker, especially if they manage to qualify for the Champions League by finishing in the Premier League’s top five.

Club owner Evangelos Marinakis has expressed a clear desire to add an elite number nine to Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad.

Alongside Osimhen, Forest has also shown interest in Viktor Gyökeres, another Manchester United target, but the Swedish striker is reportedly not keen on a move to the City Ground.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been in outstanding form, scoring 26 goals in 30 appearances.

While Manchester United was initially expected to push for his signature upon his return to Napoli, recent developments suggest Forest could pose a serious challenge.

Even if Forest qualifies for the Champions League, signing a top-tier forward might be a tough task, but the club remains determined.

If Osimhen joins, he will reunite with his fellow Nigerian internationals, Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina, at the club.
