JUST IN: Tinubu holds high-level security meeting with Service Chiefs, lawmakers at Aso Villa

President Bola Tinubu convened a security meeting on Tuesday at the Aso Villa in Abuja, bringing together the nation’s top military and intelligence officials.

The gathering was led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and attended by key security figures, including Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and the Director General of the Department of State Services, Oluwatosin Ajayi.

Shortly after the meeting commenced in the president’s office, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Majority Leader Opeyemi Bamidele joined the discussions.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, along with his deputy, Ben Kalu, was also seen at the meeting.

While the specific agenda was not disclosed at the time of reporting, the deliberations are believed to have focused on the prevailing security challenges in the country.
