A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered Oba Otudeko to appear before it and respond to charges in a case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) concerning an alleged N30 billion loan fraud.
Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke issued the directive on Monday, stating that Otudeko must take his plea before the court can entertain any application challenging its jurisdiction.
The EFCC had earlier brought a 13-count charge against Otudeko and three others over alleged financial misconduct.
The case has been adjourned to May 8 for further proceedings, with more details expected to emerge.
