JUST IN: Ondo Governor approves employment of 1,100 primary school teachers

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has sanctioned the recruitment of 1,100 teachers to strengthen the workforce in public primary schools across the state.

The approval was granted through the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (ODSUBEB) following the completion of the recruitment process.

This development comes shortly after the governor authorized the employment and documentation of over 1,000 teachers for public secondary schools.

The Executive Chairman of ODSUBEB, Mr. Victor Olabimtan, commended the governor for his commitment to addressing teacher shortages and improving the pupil-teacher ratio in public schools.

He noted that the newly recruited educators would help bridge gaps created by retirements and resignations.

According to a statement by Prince Bolu Diesel Ajijo, the board’s Director of Information and Public Relations, the initiative will enhance education quality, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas.

Successful candidates are expected to begin their documentation process this week, with further details on the procedure to be announced soon.
