Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has reinstated Samson Osagie as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice after clearing him of financial misconduct allegations.
Osagie was suspended in February alongside the Local Government Commission chairman, Damian Lawani, over alleged financial irregularities.
However, in a letter dated March 12 and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, the governor directed him to resume office immediately.
The letter stated that an investigative panel had reviewed the allegations and found Osagie innocent.
Following his reinstatement, Osagie expressed gratitude to the governor for his leadership and commitment to justice.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to the administration and pledged to support efforts aimed at advancing Edo State’s development.
