Wike condemns Governor Fubara’s letter to Rivers Assembly

Must read

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has criticized Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for addressing a letter to the State House of Assembly concerning the recent Supreme Court ruling on the state’s political crisis.

Speaking at a media briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike dismissed the letter as “useless” and expressed dissatisfaction with Fubara’s approach to engaging the legislature.

He emphasized that Speaker Martins Amaewhule and the lawmakers operate independently and should be treated with due respect.

Wike further stated that instead of sending a formal letter, the governor should have reached out directly to the Speaker and Assembly members to discuss the matter in person.

More updates on the situation are expected.
