Must read

Nigerian troops under Operation Fansan Yanma have dealt a severe blow to armed bandits who attacked Mada town in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, a joint operation involving the Nigerian Army and the state-backed Askarawa militia confronted the heavily armed assailants in a fierce battle.

The troops quickly gained the upper hand, leveraging their superior firepower to overwhelm the attackers.

The bandits, who invaded the town in large numbers, suffered significant casualties. Many were killed instantly, while others, wounded, managed to escape into the forest.

A security source confirmed the success of the operation, stating, “Several bandits were neutralized, and our courageous troops sustained no losses.”

As the surviving assailants attempted to regroup, troops pursued and eliminated more of them. Security forces also seized weapons and motorcycles abandoned by the fleeing criminals.

Authorities have confirmed that normalcy has returned to Mada town, with reinforcements deployed to prevent any further attacks.
