At least 37 bandits have been killed, and several others wounded, in a combined military operation targeting terrorist hideouts in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to intelligence reports obtained by Zagazola Makama, the operation took place on March 10, 2025, and was carried out by ground forces with aerial support from the Air Component of Operation FANSAR YAMMA.

Military sources revealed that around 11:00 a.m. on Monday, a reconnaissance fighter jet identified a large gathering of armed militants preparing to ambush advancing troops.

In response, an immediate airstrike was launched, inflicting heavy casualties on the insurgents. Ground forces then moved in to neutralize those attempting to escape.

A source confirmed that “37 bodies were scattered across the area, while many other terrorists fled with severe injuries.” The military is currently tracking the movement of the wounded fighters as they retreat into the forest.
