A devastating fire broke out on Lagos’ Otedola Bridge on Tuesday night, March 11, 2025, following a petrol tanker explosion.
The incident, which occurred around 8 p.m., was triggered when the tanker lost control and overturned, resulting in an intense blaze that spread rapidly.
In a video seen by AFRIPOST and shared on X by security analyst Zagazola, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed that the fire engulfed multiple nearby structures, including a church, a residential building, and mechanic workshops situated beneath the bridge near CMD Road.
Emergency response teams swiftly mobilized to the scene, striving to contain the inferno and prevent further destruction.
