Technical fault causes power outage in parts of FCT – AEDC

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has attributed the recent power outage affecting several parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to a technical fault on the feeder supplying electricity to the affected areas.

In a statement posted on its X handle on Monday, AEDC expressed regret over the situation, assuring residents that efforts were underway to resolve the issue.

Among the areas impacted by the outage are Jabi, Kado, Life Camp, Idu, Karmo, Citec Mbora, Airport Road, Nile University, Karimajiji, Kuchingoro, Lugbe FHA 1, NIA Senior and Junior, Baba Gida Market, and Mr. Biggs.

Others include Tipper Garage, Okada Bridge, Peace Village, Lugbe FHA 2, AMAC Market, New Site Leg, Living Faith Leg, CBN Estate, Sharon Leg, 1R Estate, NNPC, T. Pumpy, Rebando Football Arena, and surrounding communities.

The company assured customers that its technical team is working diligently to restore power as soon as possible.
