Following his recent meeting with former President Muhammadu Buhari, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has visited ex-Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, and Pastor Tunde Bakare in Lagos.
El-Rufai’s media adviser, Muyiwa Adekeye, shared photos of the meeting on X, confirming the gathering.
“Malam Nasir @elrufai was in Lagos today to visit Ogbeni @raufaregbesola and Pastor Tunde Bakare,” Adekeye posted.
This visit comes just days after El-Rufai met with Buhari at his Kaduna residence, where he reportedly discussed his political plans ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speculations have been growing about El-Rufai’s potential defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), as some of his close associates have already joined the SDP.
