Lagos State Police have successfully freed three individuals who were abducted along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Ibeju-Lekki, less than a day after their kidnapping.
According to intelligence sources, the victims—Umezulike Joseph, Eze Theodorah, and Rosemary Ogwulu—were taken on March 7, 2025.
Upon receiving a distress call, law enforcement swiftly mobilized six special tactical teams from the Anti and Counter-Kidnapping Unit to track down the abductors.
Under intense pressure from the advancing police units, the kidnappers abandoned their captives in a dense forested area near the expressway.
The rescued victims, who showed signs of distress, were given immediate medical care and have since been reunited with their families.
Authorities have launched an investigation to track down the fleeing suspects and bring them to justice.
