Unknown gunmen attacked Pyakmalu village in Tangur District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, leaving two people dead and injuring two others, according to police reports.
A security source, speaking to Zagazola Makama, revealed that the attack occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on Thursday.
“The assailants invaded the residence of 62-year-old Ayuba Nuhu Lagan, shooting him dead.
“They also took the life of 75-year-old Mama Uren Nuhu, while two other individuals sustained injuries,” the source stated.
The wounded victims were taken to Dung Clinic for treatment, while security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding area.
In response to the incident, authorities have deployed patrol teams to the village to prevent further violence and are working to apprehend those behind the attack.
