NDLEA officers arrested over fatal shooting of 19-year-old woman in Kano

Two operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been arrested by the Kano State Police Command for allegedly shooting and killing a 19-year-old woman, Patient Samuel, in Jaba Quarters.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama shared details of the incident on X on Thursday, revealing that the shooting took place around 10:55 p.m. on Wednesday.

The suspects, identified as 23-year-old Nass Ridwan Usman and 26-year-old Sna Ismaila Yakubu, were said to be stationed at the NDLEA’s Kano State office.

Following the incident, a police team was dispatched to the scene, where they discovered the victim and rushed her to Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital. Sadly, she was declared dead upon arrival.

Investigators recovered several items from the officers, including their operational motorcycle, a live round of ammunition, four spent 7.62×51mm shell casings, and two knives.

Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation to uncover the details of the shooting and ensure justice is served.
