EFCC arrests nine suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended nine individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Abuja.

According to a statement released on Tuesday by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, the arrests were carried out at Sunnyville Estate in Lokogoma and Open Heaven Estate in Dawaki.

During the raid, law enforcement officials recovered several items believed to be linked to fraudulent activities, including four luxury vehicles, laptops, iPads, and mobile phones.

“The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the two locations in the Federal Capital Territory,” the statement read.

The EFCC further disclosed that the individuals will be prosecuted once investigations are completed.
