A 27-year-old man, Yusuf Ojo, has been apprehended by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) while attempting to sell three stolen mobile phones belonging to his benefactor.
Ojo was taken into custody around 5:00 a.m. last Wednesday in Oshodi by law enforcement officers.
Investigations revealed that earlier that night, around midnight, he had broken into the residence of one Michael at Iyana Iyesi, Ogun State, while the victim and his family were asleep.
Ironically, on the same day, Ojo received financial assistance from Michael to support his upkeep. However, instead of gratitude, he later burglarized the house, stealing three mobile phones.
As he made his way to Mushin to sell the stolen devices, he was intercepted by the police. Ojo has since been charged to court.
