Suspected gunmen have abducted multiple individuals near the Abacha Barracks bypass in Guzape, Abuja, prompting a police investigation into the incident.

Sources within the FCT Police Command confirmed to Zagazola Makama that the abduction occurred on February 25 at about 11:31 p.m.

The victims were believed to have been taken by armed assailants who ambushed them along the route.

When police patrol teams arrived at the scene, they discovered two abandoned vehicles: a black Toyota Prado Land Cruiser with Abuja registration number RBC 900 SF, belonging to Hon. Shagala Samuel, and a Honda Civic with registration number RSH 181 TH.

Authorities suspect that the occupants of these vehicles were forcibly taken by the attackers.

“The responding officers searched the surrounding areas and nearby bushes but found no trace of the victims or the perpetrators,” a police intelligence source revealed.

In response to the attack, security operatives at key entry and exit points in the FCT have been placed on high alert.

The abandoned vehicles have been taken into police custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit has intensified efforts to track down the assailants and rescue the abducted individuals.

The police have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, assuring the public that all measures are being taken to ensure the safe return of the victims and bring the criminals to justice.
