Hon. Bala Muhammad Majidadi, the Vice Chairman of Bukkuyum Local Government Area in Zamfara State, has been abducted alongside three others by suspected bandits.
Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the incident on his X account, explaining that the victims were kidnapped on Monday evening while travelling from Bukkuyum to Gusau, the state capital.
“The attack happened on their way to Gusau. The bandits struck and took them away,” Bakatsine revealed in his post.
Bukkuyum is one of several areas in Zamfara frequently targeted by bandits, alongside Shinkafi, Maradun, Zurmi, Anka, Talata Mafara, and Tsafe.
Residents remain on edge as such violent incidents persist.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities, including the Zamfara State Police Command, have yet to issue an official statement regarding the abduction or any potential rescue efforts.
The silence has left locals anxious, highlighting the ongoing security crisis in the state.
