A deadly bandit attack struck the Domar Gidan Sule community in Katsina State last night, claiming three lives and leaving devastation in its wake.
The assailants stormed the rural settlement late in the night, looting numerous homes and rustling a significant number of livestock, according to local reports.
The violent raid has heightened fears in the Katsina Local Government Area, a region long plagued by such insecurity.
Bakatsine, a respected security analyst in the North West, brought the incident to light on his Twitter page, detailing the scale of the assault and the bandits’ ruthless tactics.
He wrote, “ALERT: Yesterday night, bandits attacked Domar Gidan Sule community. They killed three people, looted several houses and rustled a large number of livestock during the attack.”
Security forces have yet to release an official statement, but residents are calling for urgent action to curb the rising tide of banditry.
The attack has yet again shown the persistent challenges facing rural communities in Nigeria’s northwest, where lives and livelihoods remain under threat in the hands of daring bandits.
