The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched intense airstrikes on bandit hideouts in the eastern part of Shinkafi Local Government Area, Katsina, eliminating several armed criminals and destroying their camps.
According to intelligence sources cited by Zagazola Makama, the aerial assault specifically targeted the residence of a notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Haru, located in Katsira Forest.
The operation also extended to Fakai Forest, a known stronghold of armed groups responsible for terrorizing local communities.
Security personnel on the ground confirmed that the air raids resulted in the neutralization of multiple bandits, as well as the destruction of their livestock and logistical supplies.
A senior military official revealed that surveillance operations were ongoing to track and eliminate any fleeing bandits.
The Nigerian Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to sustaining military offensives against terrorists and bandits, aiming to restore peace and security in the region.
