A group of suspected armed robbers attacked a man in Suleja, Niger State, in the early hours of Sunday, injuring him and stealing his mobile phone.
The victim, identified as Abubakar Murtar, was reportedly ambushed around 3:00 a.m. on Church Road, Suleja.
His ordeal was reported to the ‘A’ Division Police Station by Lukman Abdullahi, who filed a formal complaint regarding the incident.
According to security sources, the assailants stabbed Murtar in the neck before making away with his belongings.
Following the attack, the injured man was immediately taken to Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital in Abuja, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the robbery, with efforts underway to track down the perpetrators.
Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies.
