Gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked the Gidan Fulani community last night, abducting three residents and making away with a large number of cattle and other livestock.
The incident was revealed by a security analyst in northern Nigeria, Bakatsine, who shared details of the attack on his Twitter page.
“Bandits invaded Gidan Fulani community, taking three people hostage and rustling a significant number of cattle and livestock.
“The community is in distress as security remains a major challenge,” Bakatsine posted.
Local sources confirmed that the armed assailants stormed the village in the dead of night, firing gunshots to instil fear before seizing their captives and herding the stolen animals away.
As of now, authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the attack, and the whereabouts of the kidnapped victims remain unknown.
