Prophet declares three-day fast, warns of looming crisis

Must read

Apostle Ezekiel Oyediran Oyedele, leader of Christ Gospel Apostolic Church (CGAC) Worldwide, has called on Nigerians to embark on a three-day fasting and prayer session, citing a divine revelation about an impending crisis.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday, the cleric urged citizens across all religious backgrounds to participate in the spiritual exercise from February 24 to 26, 2025.

He emphasized the need for national repentance and divine intervention, referencing 2 Chronicles 7:14 as a guiding scripture for his call to prayer.

While he did not disclose specific details about the predicted crisis, he insisted that the call to seek God’s mercy was universal and extended to Christians, Muslims, and people of other faiths.

The prophecy has drawn mixed reactions, with some religious leaders and citizens embracing the call for prayers, while others remain skeptical.

Given Nigeria’s current economic challenges, security issues, and political uncertainties, many are paying close attention to the cleric’s warning.

Authorities have yet to officially respond, but analysts noted that in a country where religion plays a significant role in shaping public opinion, such declarations could influence national discourse and even policy decisions.

As the February 24 fasting period approaches, observers will be watching to see how widely the spiritual mobilization gains traction and whether it has any impact on the nation’s affairs.

Prophet Oyedele also referenced past revelations he claimed to have received, including warnings about rising food prices in 2013 and a global health crisis in 2017, which he believes materialized as the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.
