Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has expelled Miss Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious for attacking a lecturer.
The decision follows a viral video that emerged earlier this week, showing the student engaging in a physical altercation with Dr. Chukwudi Okoye of the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.
Reports suggest that the confrontation escalated when the lecturer interrupted her while she was recording a TikTok video. She allegedly bit him and tore his clothes during the incident.
In response, the university called for calm and referred the matter to its Students’ Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.
According to an official memo signed by the Acting Registrar, Victor I. Modebelu, with reference number NAU/REG/95b/VOLVII/031, the university confirmed that the Acting Vice-Chancellor approved the recommendation for Miss Precious Chiamaka Goddy-Mbakwe’s expulsion.
