Former Anambra State governor and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has contributed N10 million to the Mater Misericordiae College of Nursing Sciences in Afikpo, Ebonyi State.
Obi made this known in a social media post, emphasizing his continued commitment to education, healthcare, and empowerment as essential pillars of national development.
He commended the institution for its long-standing role in training healthcare professionals since its founding in 1946.
Addressing students, he highlighted the growing global need for medical practitioners and encouraged them to remain dedicated to their studies.
Obi also lauded the college’s staff for their dedication to training future healthcare workers and acknowledged the Ebonyi State Government’s efforts in supporting healthcare education.
