Suspected bandits launched a violent attack on Walawa community in Katsina State on Wednesday night, killing two residents.
According to security analyst Bakatsine, who shared details of the incident on X (formerly Twitter), the assailants stormed the community late at night, unleashing terror on the residents.
“Bandits attacked Walawa community and gruesomely killed two people,” he posted.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement on the attack.
AFRIPOST had yesterday reported that a notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Dan Lukuti, who orchestrated numerous deadly attacks in Zamfara and Katsina states, has reportedly died after suffering from a bizarre illness that left him barking like a dog before his death.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama, who shared the news on his Twitter page, reported that sources familiar with Lukuti’s activities revealed he fell gravely ill about a week ago.
His symptoms were described as highly unusual, including extreme aggression, uncontrollable spasms, and, in his final hours, persistent barking sounds akin to a rabid dog.
