Governor Sule sacks aides, cites inefficiency in policy execution

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has relieved all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants of their duties.

The governor attributed the decision to their failure to effectively implement government policies and programs.

The announcement came on Friday during the swearing-in ceremony of Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji as the new Secretary to the State Government.

The event, held at the Government House in Lafia, also saw the inauguration of Commodore Yahaya Owuna (rtd.) as the sole administrator of Udege Administrative Area, along with the chairman and board members of the College of Education, Akwanga.

Governor Sule emphasized that the dismissals take immediate effect and form part of his administration’s broader strategy to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery in the state.

While acknowledging the contributions of the dismissed aides, he expressed appreciation for their efforts and encouraged them to continue supporting the development of Nasarawa State.
