The Anambra State Government has commended security agencies for swiftly apprehending those responsible for the tragic killing of Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly representing Onitsha North State Constituency I.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, the government expressed deep sorrow over the lawmaker’s death and extended condolences to his family, colleagues in the Assembly, and constituents.
Mefor praised law enforcement for their quick response, emphasizing that their efforts demonstrated the government’s commitment to ensuring safety across the state.
“The prompt action of security agencies in tracking down and arresting the perpetrators of this heinous crime is commendable,” he stated.
“Their efforts reflect the efficiency of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, the state’s new security strike force, which has been making significant progress since its launch on January 18, 2025.”
The commissioner assured the public that justice would be served swiftly and urged residents to continue supporting government security initiatives to foster a crime-free society.
“Together, we will build a safer and more prosperous Anambra where everyone can live, work, and invest without fear,” he added.
