Tinubu’s wife condoles with families of victims in Zamfara school fire

The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed her condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in a fire that engulfed an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, on Tuesday night.

The Zamfara Police confirmed that 17 Almajiris (street children) tragically lost their lives in the fire, with 17 others sustaining injuries in the incident in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Tinubu also extended her sympathies to Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, acknowledging the deep sorrow caused by the tragedy.

“I pray that Allah grants comfort and strength to the families and loved ones of the departed, helping them cope with this devastating loss,” she said.

The First Lady also highlighted the importance of implementing safety measures in all public spaces, emphasizing the need for precaution to prevent such incidents in the future.

“I pray that this will not happen again, not only in Zamfara but across the country. May Allah grant the souls of the departed Aljanah Fridaus,” she concluded.
