JUST IN: NPA increases tariffs by 15% after 32years

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced a 15% increase in tariffs, marking the first adjustment in over three decades.

The update was disclosed on Thursday in Lagos by NPA’s Managing Director, Abubakar Dantsoho, during a stakeholder meeting. He was represented by the Executive Director of Marine and Operations, Olalekan Badmus.

According to the NPA, tariffs have remained unchanged for 32 years despite significant economic changes, including fluctuations in exchange rates, rising wages, increased fuel costs, and inflation.
