Gunmen have reportedly attacked the Tsiga community in the Bakori local government area of Katsina State, abducting multiple residents, including retired Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga.
General Tsiga, who served as the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) from January 2009 to September 2011, is among those believed to have been taken during the attack.
According to local sources, the assailants launched the attack at around 12:30 AM on Wednesday, February 5, causing widespread panic among residents.
Security forces have been notified, and efforts are underway to rescue the kidnapped victims and capture the criminals responsible.
