Tinubu directs military to eradicate insecurity nationwide by 2025

Must read

President Bola Tinubu has mandated the Nigerian military to eliminate banditry and other security threats across the country by the end of 2025.

This directive was revealed by the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, in a widely circulated video.

Badaru emphasized that the armed forces will intensify their operations against criminal elements, stressing that bandits are already retreating under military pressure.

However, he assured that the security forces will not relent until all threats are neutralized.

“The bandits are fleeing, but our military remains committed to eradicating them completely.

“The president has instructed us to end insecurity in every region of Nigeria by the close of this year,” Badaru stated.

He further noted that the Chief of Defence Staff and the National Security Adviser are working tirelessly to achieve this goal, with heightened military activity across various operational zones.

Additionally, Badaru mentioned that mining operations in Zamfara have resumed, linking this development to ongoing efforts to strengthen security in vulnerable areas.
