Reports indicate that unknown gunmen have once again attacked and kidnapped 10 travelers in Ondo State.
According to sources from SUNSHINETRUTH News, the victims were traveling from a state in the South-South region to Akure over the weekend when the gunmen struck along the Owo-Ipele axis of the Owo-Benin road.
Mrs. Funmi Odunlami, spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the incident, though she clarified that seven individuals had been abducted, not 10 as initially reported.
This latest attack comes just a week after five farmers were shot dead at Ajegunle Powerline in Akure North Local Government Area. The assailants behind that attack have not yet been apprehended.
