President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially enacted legislation to create the Federal University of Environment and Technology, Ogoni.
The bill was signed on Monday at the State House, with key figures in attendance, including Senator Mpigi Barinada, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, the Minister of Education, and other senior government officials.
The presidency announced the development through a statement on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The presidency further highlighted the move as a fulfilment of President Tinubu’s commitment to addressing the environmental and educational challenges faced by the Ogoni community.
