Igbo youths in Lagos State have thrown their support behind Seyi Tinubu in his bid for the 2027 governorship election.

The youths, under the umbrella of the Lagos State Igbo Youth Organizations (LASIYO), commended Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, for his achievements as an entrepreneur and philanthropist, highlighting his impressive record in business and community development.

In a statement signed by Obioma Andrew (President General), Bellarmine Chiemezie (Vice President), and Chukwuemeka Francis (Secretary General), LASIYO expressed their strong belief that Seyi is the ideal candidate to lead the state.

The group noted that Seyi’s initiatives in education, skills development, and infrastructure projects align perfectly with the goals of LASIYO. They specifically mentioned his efforts in empowering over 1,000 youths and his plans to enhance Lagos’ transportation network, which they believe could boost the state’s economic growth by 20%.

“Seyi Tinubu’s vision for education, infrastructure, and healthcare is in harmony with LASIYO’s aspirations. His focus on youth empowerment and economic development deeply resonates with our values,” the statement read.

The youths expressed full confidence in Seyi’s leadership abilities, saying he possesses the necessary qualities and expertise to tackle the challenges faced by their community.

The endorsement ceremony took place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, and was attended by LASIYO members, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.
