Gov. Bala Mohammed vows to safeguard PDP’s integrity amid crisis

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has reaffirmed his commitment to preserving the reputation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking at the PDP North-East Zonal Caucus meeting in Bauchi, Mohammed emphasized that he and other party leaders are dedicated to maintaining the party’s integrity and unity.

As the chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, he revealed that leaders from the zone had engaged with the reconciliation committee established by the National Working Committee (NWC).

He noted that the North-East remains one of the least divided zones within the party.

“Our goal is to remain united and focused, ensuring that we do not bring disrepute to the party,” he said.

“We continue to initiate projects and programs that directly address the needs and aspirations of our people. Our loyalty extends to every chapter of the party, including those without a sitting governor.”

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa described the reconciliation efforts as timely, given the party’s internal challenges.

He stressed that unity and collective action are essential for the PDP to reclaim its leadership position, urging aggrieved members to embrace peace and reconciliation.

Similarly, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chairman of the reconciliation committee, assured members of the party’s commitment to resolving internal disputes and repositioning itself ahead of the 2027 general elections.
