The Abia State Police Command has retrieved six stolen vehicles following a security operation targeting criminal activities in the state.
In a statement issued on Friday, the command’s spokesperson, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, revealed that the recovery took place after police raided a criminal hideout in Uratta, Aba.
The operation was conducted by the Rapid Response Squad as part of an intelligence-driven sting mission.
According to the police, the vehicles were mostly taken at gunpoint, and officers tracked the suspects before making arrests.
The recovered vehicles include an ash-coloured Toyota Camry (LSD 885 CX), a red Toyota Aris (GDD 254 AA), a navy blue Toyota RAV4 (AG 743 BRR), a black Toyota 4Runner (ABC 903 BR), another Toyota RAV4 (KTU 778 BR), and an ash-coloured Toyota Sienna (GWB 350 HM).
The police have urged individuals with valid ownership documents to visit the command headquarters for verification and retrieval.
