Court adjourns case against popular prankster, Trinity Guy

A Family Court 2, sitting in Iyaganku area of Ibadan, Oyo state capital has adjourned a case of alleged sexual exploitation of a ten year old girl by Ibadan skit maker, Maruf Abdullahi, also known as Trinity Guy.

At the resume hearing on the case, the defence counsel, Mr Dare Adebayo while cross examining the prosecutor witness queried if he had ever been to a correctional facility, to which he answered in the affirmative

Also, at the hearing, the Chairperson International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, Oyo State chapter, Mrs Ademubowale Adelabu, said the organisation took interest in the case because it involved a minor.

Mrs Adelabu described the defendant’s action as sexual exploitation of a minor, and called for justice on behalf of the child.

After the submissions by both prosecutors, counsel to the defendants and interested parties, the magistrate Serifat Adesina adjourned the case to March 25, 2025 for mention .

Recall that in 2023, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, was dragged to court over allegations of se3ualising a minor in his viral skit video.

Trinity Guy reportedly used a 10-year old girl for a skit with inappropriate sexual abuse content.

Further recall that the Nigerian Police, through Force Public Relation Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, called for the arrest of Trinity guy following a viral video of his dangerous pranks.
