Must read

President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had a meeting in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Tuesday.

The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit, where President Tinubu is representing Nigeria.

The summit, hosted by the Tanzanian government in collaboration with the African Development Bank Group and the World Bank, focuses on advancing the “Mission 300” initiative, which aims to provide electricity access to 300 million people across Africa by 2030.

Key topics of discussion during the summit include expanding energy access in underserved regions, promoting renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, and attracting private sector investment.

Interestingly, former Vice President Osinbajo, a former ally of President Tinubu, contested against him in the 2022 All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary.

Tinubu won the primary with 1,271 votes, defeating Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, and other contenders.
