The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has unveiled the timeline for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB Registrar, the sale of UTME application forms will begin on January 31, 2025, and conclude on March 5, 2025.
For direct entry candidates, the purchase of application documents and e-PINs will start on March 10, 2025, and end on April 7, 2025.
The Mock-UTME is scheduled for April 5, 2025, while the main UTME will take place from April 25 to May 5, 2025.
Registration fees for candidates taking both the UTME and mock exam will total ₦8,200, while those opting for the UTME only will pay ₦7,200.
The cost breakdown includes ₦3,500 for the application fee, ₦1,000 for reading materials, ₦700 for CBT Centre registration, ₦1,500 for CBT Centre UTME services, ₦1,500 for the mock exam fee, and ₦500 for bank charges.
In a new initiative, JAMB introduced a mock UTME specifically for candidates under 16 years of age.
While not linked to admissions, this test aims to help younger candidates gauge their preparedness.
JAMB has reiterated that candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
However, candidates below 15 years with exceptional academic records—scoring at least 280 in the UTME and excelling in their Senior Secondary Certificate and post-UTME examinations—may be considered for admission.
