Anambra govt destroys kidnappers’ hideout masquerading as hotel, uncovers graves

Must read

The Anambra State Government has taken decisive action by demolishing a suspected kidnappers’ hideout operating under the guise of a hotel along the Onitsha-Owerri Road.

In a statement shared on its official New Media X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, the government disclosed that the building, identified as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as “La Cruise Hotel,” had become a hub for criminal activities, particularly kidnapping.

Authorities revealed that the hotel contained shocking evidence of its nefarious use, including over 30 partitioned graves reportedly situated on its top floor.

The gruesome discovery highlights the extent of criminal operations concealed within the establishment.

The statement read: “In Oba, Idemili South LGA, the demolition of a kidnappers’ den disguised as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also called ‘La Cruise Hotel,’ has been carried out.

“The site included a shrine and over 30 well-partitioned graves on the top floor.”

This move by the Anambra government underscores its commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety in the region.

The authorities urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities in their communities.
