Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has stated that he will rely on God for his re-election in 2027, addressing critics of his administration who expect him to seek their approval.
Speaking to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Government House ahead of the February 15 local council elections, Radda emphasized that his mandate was divinely ordained, and he will turn to God for guidance when the time comes.
In his address, delivered in Hausa, he said: “Some people have been saying that after four years, I will return to them. But who told you I’m coming back to you? I will return to the One (God) who gave me this mandate in 2023 to seek re-election in 2027.”
Governor Radda further declared that election rigging through ballot box manipulation is a thing of the past, urging APC members to intensify efforts in mobilizing voters for the party’s success in the upcoming polls.
