The wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has been rescued by officers of the Nigeria Police Force.
This was announced on Thursday morning by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, through his official X account.
Adejobi revealed that the police operatives neutralized the kidnappers during the operation and recovered the ransom they had taken.
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the swift action of the police team and commended the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for leading a successful rescue mission.
Mrs. Odumosu was reportedly abducted last week Thursday at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, Ogun State.
