Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja to represent Nigeria at the 2025 annual World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
The forum will bring together global leaders, prominent business executives, and representatives from development organizations to deliberate on strategies to address challenges facing the global economy and improve its outlook.
During the event, Shettima is scheduled to participate in a workshop titled “Roadmap to Co-create Investment Opportunities for Africa’s Frontier Markets.”
Organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in collaboration with the WEF, the session aims to increase capital inflows into Africa’s emerging markets and promote solutions that support a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient continent.
The workshop will take place at the Congress Centre in Jakobshorn.
A key highlight of the forum will be the unveiling of the Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) Roadmap for Africa.
This initiative, developed in partnership with the AfDB, seeks to strengthen collaboration between public and private sector leaders to mobilize investments in Africa’s frontier markets and drive sustainable development.
