The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the official fares for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, with costs varying by region.
Intending pilgrims from the Southern states are to pay N8.78 million, while those from the Northern Zone will pay N8.46 million.
Meanwhile, the fare for intending pilgrims from Borno and Adamawa Zone is set at N8.33 million.
The announcement was made by NAHCON’s Executive Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, through a statement issued by the Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Usara, on Monday in Abuja.
Prof. Usman noted that the fares were determined after extensive consultations with stakeholders, including the presidency and the Forum of Executive Secretaries of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies, and Commissions.
He expressed gratitude to the presidency and other partners for their collaboration in finalizing the costs.
The chairman highlighted that maintaining the fare at a reasonable range was a priority for NAHCON.
This was achieved through efforts led by Ameen Amshi, the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties, to ensure inclusivity and fairness in the decision-making process.
To ensure smooth preparations, prospective pilgrims are encouraged to adhere to Saudi guidelines, register early, and make payments within the stipulated timelines.
Additional details and a breakdown of the fares are available on the NAHCON website and through State Pilgrims Welfare Boards.
