Chijioke Ihunwo, Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State, has announced the appointment of an additional 100 Special Assistants (SAs).
The new appointments were revealed in a statement on Saturday, where Ihunwo expressed his congratulations to those selected.
“I have appointed 100 more individuals as special assistants to support me in realizing my goals for the people of Obio/Akpor. Their appointments are effective immediately,” the chairman said.
The latest round of appointments comes just days after Ihunwo appointed 130 SAs on January 8, 2024, raising the total number of his Special Assistants to 230.
It is also worth noting that prior to the October 5, 2024, local government elections, Ihunwo, in his role as caretaker chairman, had already appointed 100 SAs to his administration.
