The wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu, has reportedly been abducted from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
Sources revealed that the woman, who is married to the former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, was taken by gunmen on Thursday night around 10 p.m.
The incident occurred as she attempted to park her car at a property located on Aminu Street in the Orange Estate area of Arepo.
The Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the abduction but noted that the victim’s identity has not yet been fully verified.
In response to the situation, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has reportedly deployed officers to ensure the woman’s safe recovery and prevent her captors from moving her out of the state.
